An Alex Update
It’s been a while since I’ve talked about Alex O’Loughlin, but, as you can see from the blog header, I still have a spot in my heart just for him. While I’m still mourning the cancellation of Moonlight (what? I know it was 3 years ago, but you just don’t get over heartbreak like that), I do have a few upcoming Alex O projects to keep me happy.

If you own a TV and have had it on at all in the last 2 weeks, you’ve likely seen ads for The Back-up Plan, Alex’s new movie with Jennifer Lopez. In it, Jennifer plays Zoe, who meets Stan (Alex) shortly after she’s become pregnant by artifical insemination, and they deal with the pregnancy while dating.
I’m not a JLo hater; I even liked The Wedding Planner (don’t judge!). I usually wait for them to come out on DVD, but I’m totally dragging DH to this movie. He was actually a big Moonlight fan, too, so at least he won’t spend the movie giving me grief about the pretty boy vampire actor dude like he did during Remember Me.

Now, I must admit, I was not a big fan of Three Rivers, Alex’s last TV series. I’m a little iffy about the new show he’s working on, too. Why? Because it’s a remake of Hawaii Five-O. Granted, I’m older than dirt, but Hawaii Five-O is a classic. I’m terribly afraid this is doomed to failure because no one will give it a chance.
Still, the show has some great casting going for it. Not only is Alex starring, but so are Daniel Dae Kim (Jin on LOST) and Scott Caan (from Ocean’s 11, 12, 13, and 56). These three guys are great, and how can you not give a show starring them a chance? Come on CBS, try not to screw this one up! *cough*premature cancellation*cough*

I keep hoping that Alex will be in enough CBS shows that get cancelled that they’ll bring back Moonlight. It was on just a few years too soon to be super popular. I miss Mick and everybody.
I’m not too sure about Hawaii Five-O. Are we going to see Scott Caan’s naked ass in the first episode? I’ve never seen a movie where he didn’t show his naked butt, it must be in his contract!
